Welcome from the Director

Welcome to the Molecular Biosciences Training Grant (MBTG) program, directed by Dr. Christina Hull. For the last 40 years, the MBTG program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison has enhanced the training of highly promising graduate students who will become leaders in the fields of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular microbiology. Past trainees are now professors at top-ranked universities (e.g., MIT, Stanford, UCLA, UCSD), research directors at leading companies (e.g., Glaxo Wellcome, Lilly Research Labs, Novartis), and other science professionals throughout both the public and private sectors. In addition to the many financial benefits offered to trainees, students accepted into MBTG can expect to receive strong, personalized guidance and support while navigating their graduate careers.
